Set smart goals

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. ”

Purpose: To set a learning goal for school, friendships, sports and personal.
WALT: Set Smart Goals
Task:
S.M.A.R.T. means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-sensitive.
Specific: Don’t be vague. What exactly do you want?
Measurable: Quantify your goal. How will you know if you’ve achieved it or not?
Attainable: Be honest with yourself about what you can reasonably accomplish at this point in your life, taking into consideration your current responsibilities.
Realistic: It’s got to be doable, real and practical.
Time: Associate a time frame with each goal. When should you complete the goal.

My writing goal is to organise and group my ideas into paragraphs using links within and between paragraphs.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I don't use paragraphing.
I will accomplish my goal by putting my ideas first into groups then into paragraphs to make it easier for the reader.

My reading goal is to identify an authors purposes and point of view when I am reading longer more complex texts.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I find it really really really hard to find the authors purpose.
I will accomplish my goal by the end of term 3. The steps I'm going to take are read then think at the end of each chapter for a while.

My maths goal is to find the answer to two digits multiplication equations.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I find it quite hard to find the answer to two digit multiplication.
I will accomplish my goal by solving one digit multiplication then moving 1 and 2 digit multiplication then onto two digit multiplication.

What were your greatest challenge this term?  Why? My greatests challenge this term was was getting all my samples done because you have to put heaps of detail in and lots of other things like WALT, description and evaluation.

How are you going towards acting with integrity? Why?  How could you improve? I reckon I have been going well because most of the time I show it by helping people if they need help instead of doing specials. I could improve by doing it all the time.

What are your goals in our learner disposition wall?  Where to next? My goals to get to self-agency are I always finish my priorities and specials in the time given.

Writing

WALT: inform

This is my writing about insulation hope you learn something

Insulation

Have you ever wondered what insulation is? Well I'll tell you. There are lots of types of insulation they are pink batts, wet suits, dry suits, space suits, fur and blubber. The insulation in houses is usually pink candy floss (pink batts).

Pink batts are made of fibreglass which keeps heat in. It is like putting a massive jersey on your house. If you don't have insulation it is like going to the mountains in winter and thinking you'll stay warm.

Dry suits and wet suits also keep you warm because dry suits don't let any water in. Trapping a thin layer of air so your body heats the air up so that means you could go diving in Antarctica. You couldn't go diving in Antarctica in a wet suit because wet suits let water in and your body warms up the water.

Another form of insulation is in space suits. Sometimes it can be hot or cold in space. In the space suits they have liquid layers. Liquid layers are layers of tubes filled with water. They can put in hot or cold water.

Insulation is used to keep in hot or cold water or air and that's what insulation is.

Evaluation: I reckon I did well but I could make it more visual.

Feedback/feedforward: Nice writing! As you said, you could make it more visual.
