Writing

My Goal is to: Use a variety of appropriate planning tools to develop ideas.

Ryan Cheese is a smart, strong, cool and only 9. One day his mum Rebecca Cheese and his step dad Bruce Cheese were having a party. When Ryan went home his mum was. Dead. Dad you killed mum cried Ryan and Josie.
3 days later. Ryan woke up. He felt drowsy.

Ok let me think of an excuse. Ok. I've thought of an excuse. So what happened was trolls raided my house. They looked as gross as Eli oderens feet. They said surrender everything so I smasssssssssshhhhhh the window then I jump out to be greeted by lions.

. Dry suits and wet suits also keep you warm because dry suits don't let any water in. Trapping a thin layer of air so your body heats the air up so that means you could go diving in Antarctica. You couldn't go diving in Antarctica in a wet suit because wet suits let water in and your body warms up the water.

Set smart goals

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. ”

Purpose: To set a learning goal for school, friendships, sports and personal.
WALT: Set Smart Goals
Task:
S.M.A.R.T. means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-sensitive.
Specific: Don’t be vague. What exactly do you want?
Measurable: Quantify your goal. How will you know if you’ve achieved it or not?
Attainable: Be honest with yourself about what you can reasonably accomplish at this point in your life, taking into consideration your current responsibilities.
Realistic: It’s got to be doable, real and practical.
Time: Associate a time frame with each goal. When should you complete the goal.

My writing goal is to organise and group my ideas into paragraphs using links within and between paragraphs.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I don't use paragraphing.
I will accomplish my goal by putting my ideas first into groups then into paragraphs to make it easier for the reader.

My reading goal is to identify an authors purposes and point of view when I am reading longer more complex texts.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I find it really really really hard to find the authors purpose.
I will accomplish my goal by the end of term 3. The steps I'm going to take are read then think at the end of each chapter for a while.

My maths goal is to find the answer to two digits multiplication equations.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I find it quite hard to find the answer to two digit multiplication.
I will accomplish my goal by solving one digit multiplication then moving 1 and 2 digit multiplication then onto two digit multiplication.

My end of term Reflection

End of term reflection

Writing

WALT: inform

This is my writing about insulation hope you learn something

Insulation

Have you ever wondered what insulation is? Well I'll tell you. There are lots of types of insulation they are pink batts, wet suits, dry suits, space suits, fur and blubber. The insulation in houses is usually pink candy floss (pink batts).

Pink batts are made of fibreglass which keeps heat in. It is like putting a massive jersey on your house. If you don't have insulation it is like going to the mountains in winter and thinking you'll stay warm.

Dry suits and wet suits also keep you warm because dry suits don't let any water in. Trapping a thin layer of air so your body heats the air up so that means you could go diving in Antarctica. You couldn't go diving in Antarctica in a wet suit because wet suits let water in and your body warms up the water.

Another form of insulation is in space suits. Sometimes it can be hot or cold in space. In the space suits they have liquid layers. Liquid layers are layers of tubes filled with water. They can put in hot or cold water.

Insulation is used to keep in hot or cold water or air and that's what insulation is.

Evaluation: I reckon I did well but I could make it more visual.

Feedback/feedforward: Nice writing! As you said, you could make it more visual.

The range is the difrice between the highest and the lowest the highest is 11 and the lowest is 2

The mode is the number that appears the most wich is 6

The meadian is when you put them in order from smallest to biggest like this 2,4,4,5,5,6,6,6,7,7,10,10,11

Choices: I allways try to sit in a good place but sometimes my friends follow me.

To be able to move to being a self agent learner I must allways be ready for my day

Time: I must allways finish my priority sand specials in the time given.

Choices: I must allways sit next to drivers.

This is what I am going to do to move to being a self agent learner:

Stats sharp shooting

Statistics WALT calculate the mean, median, mode and range for a set of data.

TASK Elly and Troy want to find out once and for all: which Activity Group has the overall best score, (mean) which Activity Group has the highest middle number, (median) what score was the most common, (mode) which activity group has the highest range. (range) In everyday life people collect data to look for trends and make decisions. In order to analyse the information, we need to understand the different ways to lOOK at the data.

Success Criteria you will know you are successful when: calculate the mean by adding up all the data (9 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 8 = 30) then divide the total by how many numbers there were (9, 4, 4, 5, 8 = 5 numbers so 30 ÷ 5 = 6). calculate the median by ordering all numbers from smallest to biggest then selecting the middle number (4, 4, 5, 8, 9 = 5 is the middle number). If there are 6 numbers e.g. 4, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, then the median is halfway = 5.5. calculate the mode by identifying which number occurs most often (4, 4, 5, 8, 9 = 4 because there are two of them). You can have more than one mode. calculate the range by finding the difference between the highest and lowest numbers (9 - 4 = 5).

Air rifle Data:44,41,33

My difference in range is 44 and 33

My median number is 41

My mean is about 39

My groups mean number is almost 36

My groups median is 32

My groups range is 7 and 36

My groups mode is 21 23 and 46

I know I got all mine right because I calculated it about three times
